The Long history of formation
1970: Established Unitas . School
1974: Unitas Institute of Foreign Languages ​​was established and was the first English language training school in Yamanashi Prefecture.

Unitas School is a part of Teikyo University System, established from Unitas Foreign Language Institute and Unitas Japanese Language School.

Unitas Kofu Japanese Language School (Kofu Main Campus)

Unitas Kofu  Japanese Language School is located in the tourist city of Kofu in Yamanashi Prefecture. Yamanashi Prefecture is located near Tokyo, and it takes about an hour and a half by tram to reach Tokyo. Yamanashi Prefecture with its rich nature, typically Mount Fuji, thrives on alcohol and jewelry processing. Highlights of Unitas Japanese Language School’s curriculum
– The curriculum at Unitas school is built in 3 months.
– Students can participate in short-term courses within 3 months, or can also study intensively with courses over 1 year.
– Japanese language proficiency is divided into 8 stages with 4 levels: Beginner, Intermediate I, II, and Advanced.
– Depending on the results of the interview, testing the student’s level and needs will determine the appropriate class.
– In the case of learning Japanese for the first time, students must complete the basic elementary course within 6 months.
– In the next year, they will study to intermediate level I and II. Students will practice 4 skills: Listening – Speaking – Reading – Writing.
– When reaching advanced level, students can communicate their own thoughts at Japanese companies or universities. You can also write essays and draft documents in Japanese.

Beginner class (Elementary I: 3 months, Beginner II: 3 months)

  • Beginner level will start learning from Hiragana, Katakana, then will learn important basic grammar patterns.
    Upon completion of this class, students can master about 660 kanji, achieve daily Japanese communication, and pass the JLPT N4 Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

Intermediate class (Intermediate I: 6 months, Intermediate II: 6 months)

Using the knowledge learned at the elementary level as the foundation, the intermediate class aims to improve Japanese language ability.
Upon completion of this class, students master about 1,000 kanji and can pass the JLPT N2 or JLPT N1 Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

Advanced class: 6 months

The training objective of the class is that students can participate in classes at Japanese universities and gain the ability to work in real-life companies in Japan.
Upon completion of this class, students can master about 2,000 kanji and can pass the JLPT N1 Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

Refund Policy

In case students wish to withdraw from school, students need to complete the procedures and be accepted 1 month in advance. At the point of no longer being a student of the wall, the insurance will lapse.

The application verification fee is non-refundable for any reason.
After being granted the status of residence, but the student is refused a visa by the Japanese consulate of the host country, the school will refund the money after deducting the following fees: examination fee, admission fee, money transfer fee international.
After admission, the paid 6-month tuition fee is non-refundable for any reason.
After 6 months, the tuition fee paid for 1 year or 9 months is also non-refundable.
In case of paying tuition fee for 1 year but the duration of being a student at the school is less than 6 months, the refund amount will be refunded after converting to 6 months’ tuition and deducting exemptions.
Specifically, the refund amount in Kofu is 260,000 yen, Tokyo is 305,000 yen.
From the second tuition payment onwards, for students who pay tuition fees for 6 months, after the new semester, even though they do not attend class but are still students of the school, they will not be refunded.
In addition, for students applying for extra time, tuition fees are non-refundable.
From the second payment of tuition fees onward, for students who pay tuition fees for 1 year, according to the provisions of Sections 3, 4, 5 above.
For students who pay the 9-month tuition fee, in the case of completing the procedures and receiving the decision to withdraw within 6 months, the remaining 3 months of tuition will be refunded.
Specifically, the refund amount in Kofu is 140,000 yen, Tokyo is 162,500 yen.
Insurance is not refundable.
All transfer fees are borne by the student.
