Generally speaking, you can choose English or Japanese when studying in Japan, but most Japanese universities require at least an N5 Japanese certificate. If you have never learned Japanese, come to Japan to study Japanese for a year and your Japanese ability will improve dramatically. Japanese language school admission requirements

Those who go to Japan just to study Japanese, or study at a university or university in Japan but do not meet the admission requirements, must study Japanese for a year at a Japanese language school in Japan. This is because most universities in Japan require international students to have Japanese proficiency above N5 (or over 150 hour stydying Japanese in language centers in home country).

Tuition fees

Tuition fees at Japanese schools range from 6000 to 9000 USD per year, equivalent to about 200 million Vietnamese dong.

The total amount you have to spend when enrolling to study in Japan is about VND200 million to VND260 million (depending on the annual tuition fees of different schools and the number of months you pay first to the dormitory). The above costs generally include visa documents, air tickets, study Japanese in Vietnam and all expenses for Japanese language school (1 year tuition fee; 6 months dormitory; health insurance; entrance fee; application fee; textbook, etc.)

Finance

Self-sufficient study abroad requires proof of financial status while studying in Japan. This means that the financial amount you will pay to study and live in Japan are guaranteed for at least the first year. To study in Japan, you must have a parent or a financial guarantor with a stable income (25 million VND/month or more). Savings ledger or bank account must deposit at least VND 500,000,000 in bank 6 months prior to application time.
